Major Update! : "Wisdom of the Crowd" Model
Updates |
2006/11/03 21:18 |
| |
As you might have already noticed,
we've gone though a major change.
We introduce you to our "Wisdom of the Crowd" model.
Now, all the selected posts are syndicated
not only inside the widget but also on our
main page's Random Encounters section.
From now on, anyone who wants to participate
MUST participate from someone else's blog post.
What does this mean?
This means that, finally anyone can receive a referral fee,
and it also means that the whole referral fee budget
WILL burn out eventually.
It's just the matter of WHO will receive the referral fee.
This way, we believe our system can work to provide
more reward to the bloggers who have written higher quality posts.
Here's our belief.
If your post is very well-written, then many people will
like your post and participate from your post.
Otherwise, they will look for some other post to participate from.
Why? Let's think about it.
The blogger who wrote the post you are participating from
will receive a referral fee when your post is selected.
Now, would you participate from a post of 3 lines of meaningless
flattery, or would you rather participate from a post that
contains a well-written analysis or even provides some
insightful constructive criticism?
We trust the wisdom of the crowd,
and believe our model will work to stimulate better quality posts
as well as to provide more reward to the bloggers who have
written high quality posts.
Of course, even this "better" will be decided by the crowd,
and that's why we think it will work.
We plan to experiment a little bit more before finally opening up
completely, but according to what we have observed so far,
we believe this will indeed work out very fine.
Thanks for all your interest and feedback.

Heineken Conversation started!
Updates |
2006/10/17 01:57 |
| |
Guys,
We've started a new Conversation,
and,,,,, it's about Heineken!
Many people still don't seem to get us, so
we felt the need to tell you what we really expect
from our contributors.
We ONLY want your experiences, literally.
We don't want you to write nice words about
any of the companies we are promoting.
Why? Because it's not worth it.
Just think of yourself as a star being featured
in a commercial. Would she/he say "Heineken
is the best beer in the world! I can't live a day
without it!"? You know you won't trust that kind
of advertising scam anyway.
They would instead just stay cool and show
the people what they are enjoying--the beer!
We want you to be the star of this revolutionary
blog-based commercial.
Who knows? Someday those big guys would want
to run commercials with you guys instead of big stars! |

About the Conversations that we are running right now
Posts |
2006/10/14 00:51 |
| |
All the Conversations on our site right now are created by us.
These are for our opening event, as well as for testing our service
to see how it could be used and improved.
We picked some sites and businesses that we like and decided to
experiment on promoting them using our system.
If you are one of the officials at those companies/websites, and
are offended by our attempt, we apoligize. Please let us know.
If you are interested, let us know also. |

Dear marketers and website owners:
Updates |
2006/10/13 22:11 |
| |
Currently the "activation" feature is disabled.
We plan to enable it in a few days.
Please let us know in advance if you are interested in
activating your Conversation, and we will put you at the head
of the waiting list.
Also, we recommend you to set up a Conversation (another name
for CREAMaid marketing campaigns) in a way that actually requests
for action. We're targeted at "gathering people's experiences", and your
Conversation will be most effective if you run it that way.
Please refer to the "Awesomemillions.com" Conversation or "McDonald's"
Conversation that we are running right now as our opening event.

[Important!] Things to take into account when participating.
Posts |

| |
There are some things to take into account when participating in
CREAMaid Conversations, and they are important.
Actually it's in our terms of service, but we feel that we need to
mention it here also. We will appreciate it if you take a look at it.
Among them, the 4 most important rules are:
1. Your post need to be in the same language as the Conversation starter.
(It is difficult to make decisions on whether to select or not if you do
not understand what's written. During our event period, we will only accept posts
in english)
2. Your blog needs to be a regularly-kept one. Also, you should not
create a blog solely for the purpose of using CREAMaid.
(Allowing people to submit posts from a blog which they normally do not use
may lead to proliferation of spam blogs, which we DO NOT want.)
3. You should not copy and paste. Your post needs to be original.
4. The post needs to be relevant to the suggested topic.
(Please take a look at the suggested topic before writing. We cannot select
your post if it is not relevant to the topic.)
Please just keep those in mind while writing.
We are doing this because we want to make this really work, and for it to
really work, it needs to be part of your blogging life, not just an one-time event.
We would appreciate your cooperation.
Thanks for all your interest, and let's go for some more! |
